Don't miss your chance to be one of the first runners on a new certified and chip-timed 10K/5K, with options for runners with visual, hearing, and physical disabilities. Or participate in a 1-mile walk, accessible for people with visual or hearing impairments and physical disabilities. Rise to Shine takes place in the Illinois Medical District (IMD) just 2 miles west of the Loop. The first annual Rise to Shine Run & Walk is accessible, inclusive and welcomes runners of all levels and ages.
Join on your own, invite your friends, or build a team. All registered runners and walkers receive an A4 cooling performance shirt, custom finisher medal and custom age awards up to 70+. Join us after the Race for a Family Dash Bash featuring a kid's race, entertainment, and fun activities. Due to the loop course, we cannot, at this time, allow handcycles to participate.
The Rise to Shine Run & Walk benefits The Chicago Lighthouse and Chicago Central Lions Club, who are working together to promote healthy lifestyle and vision services in the Illinois Medical District.
